So, this may not look much but this is my dress for the wedding I am attending on May 12th. I still don’t like it but I’m not entirely sure there is much I can do about it now. I got it from Ted Baker in Gunwharf Keys, Portsmouth, so taking it back is a little difficult. It was an ish good deal at the outlet there, reduced from about £150 to £89. At the time, I thought it was a good price… but it only took my mum to turn around and say ‘FOR THAT?!’ that I then questioned it. It just doesn’t seem very spring wedding-y. Anyone that knows me will tell you that I love colours, and this just isn’t it. I was happy to get in a smaller size though 😉
To be fair, I did get a new bra out of it and a Wonderbra at that! The front is too low to wear a normally stuffy bra like most of mine. It does what it says on the tin and I’ve now found out I am actually a 32DD instead of 34D. The store lady took one look, it was like magic! So yay for me! Any girl can tell you that a good fitting bra makes all the difference sometimes and this one is fantastic but far too pricey at £32.
This is my first wedding I have ever been too and I am kinda excited if truth be told, I just want to look a tad stunning, now I’m none too sure… I do intend on jazzing it up with gorgeous make-up and accessories and shoes though. I already have my head piece…
It was from Accesorize as you can probably tell and was £16. I didn’t think this was too bad with student discount, gotta make the most of that bad boy whilst I still can! 😛 It’s feathers are quite pretty, I wanted to go for a 1950s sort-of feel. The greys go with my black/grey/white dress and the pinks I can make more of in my make-up and accessories or shoes. I’m not a big fan of gems either but these do look quite elegant when clipped in.
I’m sure it’ll be a lovely day and I can’t wait for it 🙂 I just wanna get my boogie on at the reception! Now just to find some shoes and half decent make-up, it is truly a work in progress… oh, and a wedding present!
