Today has just been an insane one. As you may or may not know, I am at university studying History and I’m just about at the end of my final year. The dissertation has been done and all that’s left now is revising for my exam on May 18th. This is all well and good if the administration teams at both my universities spoke to each other or were any good at their jobs.
I got an urgent e-mail asking me for my phone number so that I could be called to say I’d been struck off for not handing in my dissertation. Well, I got an extension about two months ago for ill health and they had forgot. Following lots of apologies and hopes that they could treat me a bit better, I sorted it all out with a pile of soggy tissues and one of the worst headaches I could imagine. It’s just ridiculous and the last thing I need. Found a binder though for my dissertation so all is good, I just have to work out the area that is Horsham.
Moving is coming along well, it has now been decided I am moving on the 14th May with Green Ranger. It’ll be fun but one of the most manic days I’ll ever experience because I have to revise either side of it. Our bed is coming at some point, I’m booking the van tonight and packing is going well so far. I have piles of stuff in banana boxes 😀
Jobs-wise; it’s going really well. I have an interview next week for an Office role in Gatwick, so I have to dye my hair a sensible colour sadly 🙁 but alas, it is more money and that’ll mean less stress for the rent, bills and actual living. I also have a meeting on monday with a marketing lady from a company in London to help me career-wise and help me plan a job route eventually. I’ve done a million and one job applications but yesterday, I did it with a Cupcake. Of course, I still have my ideas for my own little business but I’ll keep that under wraps.
I did mention cupcakes. I’ve found this gorgeous cupcake bar in Crawley called Cupcake Genie. Everyone should go there; they have the best flavours and freshly baked cupcakes around. They are delicious. What is more, they do my favourite drink, mint coffee and mint hot chocolate. They are Gods in my eyes and everything is crazy cheap! I may spend hours in there in future.
I had a mint choc cupcake, it was stunningly green and really refreshing to the taste. The chocolate sponge was so spongy and full of flavour. The Mint Mocha was just as good, the coffee was nice and strong. The mint could have packed more of a punch but it was still gorgeous.
In short, today was a stress-ball but it is working its way out.
