I have to admit, I wasn’t best looking forward to the Olympics over in London this year – in my opinion, it was a waste of money that could be better spent on the cuts that this country has had to endure because of our ever lasting debt. Also, I didn’t understand the hype for Team GB because as of yet we have won very little and not done our country THAT proud… it’s all a bit of a let down except ONE thing. The opening ceremony.
I have never seen something like that that has made me proud to be British and Danny Boyle could not have done a better job. From start to finish, the whole event was stunning – I mean, it had Voldemort in it and Mary Poppins in a single scene! The beginning from rural to urban Britain was fascinating with its slow descent into the NHS and Children’s fairytales/stories was unbelievable – the sheer scale and atmosphere, even from watching it on the TV was immense. The digital age – now, what an amazing sector – I had no idea the guy who created the internet was British and I am so glad he is. Without him, we wouldn’t have all of this. I wouldn’t be talking to you now. Not to mention the music… this is something any Brit can be proud of – our music.
Not only this was amazing though, I also found this rather cool recipe!
Not only is coffee cake amazing but it also has cycling people all over it!
