I know I’m by no means your normal girly girl and never really have been, I went through a faze when I joined university and I attempted it – all floral dresses and gorgeous ankle boots but it felt odd. However, ever since I was younger I have always adored those shoes that make most women tremble with excitement; Christian Louboutins.
Worn by what seems the entire fashionista and A-class celebrities from Kate Moss to Carla Bruni, the sexy red devilish sole has been one of my all time desires. Maybe it’s because it is red? It has become synonymous with high fashion, something which, for me, is a tad unachievable and glamour – that which I want to achieve.
Now I can see Louboutin in all its glamour, at the London Design Museum they are opening an exhibtion dedicated to his shoes and his designs. The first exhibition to show his personal drawings and retrospective archives of shoes from sketches to production. It is shoe porn.
It runs from March 28th – July 1st and I fully intend on going. These happen to be my favourites:
