I was scouring the internet the other day looking for sweet recipes that I could make rather easily and I came across a food stuff in America they call Candy Bark. It turns out each batch can have different flavours, different colours and sometimes, not even a sweet taste at all.
My favourite thing about Candy Bark is that it can be a range of colours and use a range of sweets so not one bite ever tastes the same as the last. I’ve also always been a fan of mad colours! So, I decided to give a recipe I found a go.
For a salty sweet craving, use dark chocolate and crisps:
1. Melt the chocolate on an oven ring or via a microwave.
2. Pour onto a plate lined with wax paper and then sprinkle the goods evenly e.g. crisps, glitter for fanciness!
3. Let the chocolate set, you can put this in the fridge or freezer to make it quicker.
4. Once the chocolate has hardened, break the bark up into manageable pieces and store in a fridge in a airtight container for up to a week, no more, so the crisps aren’t near moisture.
For a sweet craving, use white chocolate, sprinkles and Skittles:
This recipe is the same above but instead of adding crisps, add the sprinkles and Skittles or your choice of sweets.
