Now, I have no eye for fashion – any one of my friends would tell you this. I am like a child – I pick from my pallet of a wardrobe the weirdest patterns, the brightest colours and the most ghastly combinations. This is probably why the pastel and canary trend for Spring Summer 2012 has really caught my eye.
Flicking through my more! magazine and GLAMOUR – the two I treat myself to every now and again (I can never fully give up this habit), I was astounded and mesmerised by these two items;
The first, a luminous yellow jumper, the second, a fluorescent yellow blazer. I’m not normally one for blazers bar my ‘Beetlejuice’ black and white striped one but this would go lovely with a white/black Peter Pan collared shirt – it’s all I can do to stop myself from buying the one in Topshop at the moment. The jumper is just garishly bright, it will do on my casual days when I can’t be bothered but want cheering up just by looking in the mirror at the beginning and end of my day.
Recently, I’ve also found myself buying odd items of clothing – mainly leggings- because derby will require them. Amongst these I have bought, in the last week, blue and white striped knee length socks, rainbow glitter leggings and leopard print leggings. I know leopard print/safari is coming back in again but it really shouldn’t be too acceptable but I thought what the hell. Throw on a bit of leather and pull on my knee length boots and I could rock those leggings just the same as anyone else. And I will…
